Reflexology
Reflexology was established by the Egyptian and Chinese people many thousands of years ago.
Dr. William Fitzgerald in 1913, decided to divide body into 10 herbal zones ending in the fingers and toes. This means that every organ in the body is linked to an area in the foot or hand.
It is a Holistic Therapy; this means it treats the whole body, not just the symptom.
Reflexology can treat both children and adults, both male and female. Pregnant ladies can also have reflexology treatments and it is actually highly recommended in pregnancy to help relax the body and prepare for labour.
Following illness, stress, injury or disease, the body is in a state of ‘imbalance’. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium. It releases any blocked energy in the system and gets it flowing around the body.
Reflexology is a gentle hands on pressure applied to the feet using powder and oil only.
A course of treatment varies in length depending on the persons needs. Once the body is in harmony it is wise to keep up a maintenance treatment every so often.
This is very relaxing therapy. If any discomfort is felt, it usually corresponds to an area that is off-balance in the body.
Reflexology can treat many ailments including the following:

Backache
Sciatica
